Parliament Approves GHC68.1 Billion Mini-Budget for Q1 2025

Parliament has approved a GHC68.13 billion Mini-Budget for the first quarter of 2025, following detailed discussions between the Finance Committee and Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam.

This budget ensures government operations continue smoothly until the incoming Mahama administration presents its full budget.

Key Budget Details:

  • Total Revenue and Grants: GHC42.54 billion (3.5% of GDP), comprising:
    • Domestic Revenue: GHC40.67 billion
    • Tax Revenue: GHC1.87 billion
    • Grants: GHC68.65 million
    • Social Security Contributions and other sources: GHC1.04 billion
  • Expenditure Allocations: Focused on essential services such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and tax refunds (GHC2.37 billion).
