Two Clubs; Rotary Club of Accra-Odadee and Accra Novelty of Lions District 418 Club have donated educational materials to the Queen of Peace Catholic Basic school in Madina.
The materials included one thousand (1000) exercise books, Core Subjects Textbooks in Mathematics and Science, totalling 30 pieces, 280 Led pencils, 70 Assorted Story Books and 210 pieces of Mathematical Sets, all valued at GHS 18,000.00.
The two donors were led by a Rotarian President, Mother Teresa Brew and the Accra Novelty of Lions District 418 Club, led by its First Vice President Mr Lawrence Akubori.
Presenting the items, the Rotarian President, Mother Teresa Brew indicated that, September was normally set aside as Rotarian Basic Education and Literacy Month and as a result, they were donating the educational materials and having a Reading Clinic with pupils at the school to help them cultivate the habit of Reading.
Receiving the materials, the Assistant Headmistress of the School, Madam Yvonne Agezoe, expressed gratitude that the two donors chose them for this handsome donations and gave the assurance that the donated study materials would be put to good use.
In attendance were the school pupils, the staff of the Rotary Club of Accra-Odadee (AOGA) and the Accra Novelty of Lions Club.
