The Oti Regional Minister, Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong, has inspected infrastructure projects in Nkwanta South Municipality, focusing on the poor state of roads and bridges.
Many of these projects have been abandoned for years, severely restricting movement and isolating communities.
The critical roads identified include, cocoa sector, bridges and contract awarded in 2016 remains less than 30 per cent complete.
Mr. Gyapong emphasised his commitment to completing these. Vital projects without delay.
He instructed the Oti Regional feeder roads team to assess the situation and determine the best approach for repairs.
He stated that he would facilitate the swift completion of the Bontibor bridge, crucial for local businesses in the area.
Mr. Felix Bakobie, Oti Regional feeder road boss, estimated that the bridge construction would be completed within the next quarter, pending necessary financial resources.
The regional administration aims to support economic activities and improve residents’ quality of life by completing these essential infrastructure projects.
