MTN gifts woman who starred in first Momo advert a 2-bedroom house

Telecommunication giants, MTN, has gifted Madam Rita Tetteh a two-bedroom house.

Madam Rita Tetteh is the woman who was seen shouting ‘Me sen aka ooo“…”Me sen aka ooo“…”Me sen aka ooo” in the very first MTN Momo advertisement.

After a decade of acting the advert, MTN has decided to reward Madam Rita for the impact her role in the advert had on the success of the Mobile Money initiative.

MTN celebrated 10 years since the introduction of Momo this year and held a dinner and agent awards at the Alisa Hotel on Friday, December 21, 2019.

The advert Madam Rita acted in was crafted on the back of challenges Ghanaians used to face in sending and receiving money and carried a strong message on the use of the service with a strong highlight on its usefulness.

Madam Rita was presented with the keys to her 2-bedroom house, with a touching citation that celebrated her for her contribution to the Momo story.

She received her award amidst tears and said; “You have made me overwhelmed with joy with what you have done for me. I first and foremost give thanks to God. I also thank Mr. Eli Hini, Majeed, and everybody at MTN. God bless you all because you have always supported me from day one”, Madam Rita Tetteh said.
