Dambai rolls out the red carpet for National Farmers Day

The Oti Region and Dambai community are gearing up to celebrate the National Farmers Day in grand style, with the Regional and Municipal celebrations set to take place at the Dambai Banka M/A primary school park.

A visit by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to the centre revealed a vibrant display of local produce, showcasing the region’s agricultural prowess, varieties of food crops, cereals, fruits, vegetables, plantains, bananas, maize, cassavas, yams, rice were on display, highlighting the region’s rich agricultural diversity.

Farmers from across the region have begun arriving at the event centre, eager to participate in the celebrations.

The atmosphere is electric with farmers networking, sharing stories and showcasing their produce.

The event promises to be a memorable one, with a range of prizes up for grabs. Seven motorbikes and three motorcycles, double door refrigerator freezers, wheelbarrows, packet of iron sheets, shovels, knapsacks spraying machines and other prizes would be presented to award winners.

The National Farmers Day celebrations aim to recognize and reward the tireless efforts of farmers in Ghana who work day and night to ensure the country’s food security.
