Dormaahene honors top UENR graduate with car

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyeman Badu II, Council Chairman of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), has gifted a 2025 Toyota Levin hybrid to Jennifer Addae, the 2025 overall best-graduating student.

The gift fulfilled a long-standing commitment by Dr. Agyeman Badu II to champion education in the region.

Jennifer Addae, a BSc Chemistry graduate, achieved a near-perfect final GPA of 3.95.

In presenting the car, Dr. Agyeman Badu II stated the gesture symbolizes a belief in the youth and the role of education in national development.

“When excellence is recognized, it encourages discipline, purpose, and healthy competition,” he emphasized.

The valedictorian, who consistently earned straight A’s, humbly accepted the honor, saying, “I just wanted to do my best to make my parents proud.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako echoed the sentiment, reminding all that “effort matters and excellence is attainable.”

He described Addae’s honor as “both a reward and a responsibility.”
