Agyapong assures victory and party unity after voting in Assin Central

Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopefuls has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity and peace during and after the party’s primaries.

After casting his ballot at the Roman Catholic school in Assin Central, Mr Agyapong, one of 548 delegates in Assin Central constituency in a brief statement, emphasised that internal harmony remained crucial for the NPP to reclaim the presidency in the 2028 elections.

“Unity and peace in our party is the key to victory in 2028 – that’s my solemn pledge,” he declared, urging supporters to prioritise collective progress over division.

Mr Agyapong, a prominent contender in the primaries, posited his vow as a foundational step towards the party’s future success.

He expressed confidence in the voting processes and dismissed any fears of unrest, declaring with conviction, “I don’t expect violence because we are brothers.”

His words reiterated Mr Attakora Mensah, the Constituency Chairman’s earlier call for unity amid the high-stakes contest, emphasing the familiar bonds within the NPP ranks.

Mr Agyapong expressed strong optimism about securing victory, while demonstrating magnanimity by pledging to collaborate seamlessly with whichever candidate emerges triumphant if he fell short.

“I’m confident of winning, but if not, I’ll work hand-in-hand with the winner for the party’s success,” he affirmed.
