A Member of the Central Regional Council of State, Mr Hakeem Addae, has assured Ghanaians that President John Dramani Mahama will sign the LGBTQ+ legislation after it is duly passed by Parliament.
He urged the public to exercise patience and remain calm as the Bill goes through the required legislative processes.
Mr Addae gave the assurance during a visit to some churches in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District as part of activities marking the Easter celebrations.
He underscored the need for peace, tolerance and unity, especially during the festive season.
In a related engagement, Mr Isaac Yawson, the District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti Morkwa, highlighted some development projects undertaken in the district over the past year.
These include the construction of classroom blocks, health facilities and boreholes.
Mr Yawson called on residents to remain hopeful, saying that ongoing projects in road infrastructure, access to potable water and educational facilities were being executed to accelerate socio-economic development in the district.
