The Tema Regional Police Command has announced the arrest of six (6) suspects in connection with two separate armed robbery incidents targeting warehouses within the Tema metropolis.
The operations, which occurred in Kpone and Tema Community One, resulted in the theft of goods valued at several hundred thousand cedis.
According to an official statement issued by the Command on June 19, 2026, the first incident took place on May 25, 2026, when armed assailants attacked a security guard at a fertiliser warehouse in Kpone.

The robbers made away with seven hundred and fifty-one (751) bags of 50kg organic fertilisers, with an estimated street value of GH¢ 431,825.00.
In a subsequent incident on June 14, 2026, a separate group of armed men overpowered security personnel at Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse in Tema Community One.
The perpetrators carted away approximately two thousand (2,000) bags of Aaba Rice, along with other assorted food products.

Leveraging intelligence-led operations, officers of the Command successfully traced the stolen consignments to several warehouses within the Tema enclave, leading to the identification of suspects linked to both robberies.
On June 16, 2026, coordinated police sweeps resulted in the arrest of the following individuals: Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman Moro, Giya Hudu, Razak Seidu, and Francis Ayinsabga.

During the operations, police recovered seven hundred and seventeen (717) bags of Aaba Rice stolen from Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse, as well as six hundred (600) bags of fertilisers stolen from the Kpone facility.
All recovered items have been duly inventoried and secured as evidential exhibits.
The six suspects are currently in police custody and are cooperating with ongoing investigations.
The Tema Regional Police Command has assured the public that efforts are intensifying to identify and apprehend other accomplices who remain at large, as well as to recover the remaining stolen items.
