Three arrested in connection with Adwoa Safo shooting

The Ghana Police Service has taken three individuals into custody following a shooting incident involving former MP Sarah Adwoa Safo on June 21.

The primary suspect, Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena, surrendered to authorities on June 22 and is now assisting the CID with their investigation.

A subsequent search of his property uncovered a large arsenal, including two Glock pistols and nearly 200 rounds of mixed-calibre ammunition.

Police have also detained Nana Kwaku Afriyie and Kwadwo Safo Koomson in connection with the case.

All three remain in custody and will be arraigned in court today, June 23.
