According to police reports, tensions between the two families had been escalating for some time.

The dispute reportedly intensified after Yena warned Boah’s son against using his tricycle on a path behind Yena’s house, which became entangled with a broader disagreement over ownership of a piece of land in the community.

What began as a verbal altercation on Thursday afternoon quickly turned violent. Yena is alleged to have produced a pair of scissors and stabbed Boah multiple times.

The victim was rushed to a nearby health facility but succumbed to his injuries before he could be transferred to the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is currently assisting the police with investigations.
