Three missing children found dead in parked vehicle in Tamale

Three children who had been reported missing since Saturday were found dead inside a parked vehicle in the Koblimahagu Zuo community in the Tamale Metropolis on Monday morning, police have confirmed.

The deceased, aged three, five, and eight, were discovered trapped inside a stationary vehicle within the community, according to a relative of one of the victims, Mohammed Juuna, who shared the information in a social media post.

The circumstances surrounding their disappearance and subsequent deaths remain unknown.

Seidu Fuseini, the Assembly Member for the area, confirmed the incident and said the owner of the vehicle has been taken into custody by police to assist with investigations.

Fuseini said the vehicle owner told police he had locked all the doors of the vehicle before leaving it.

The bodies of the children have been conveyed to the morgue of the Tamale Teaching Hospital for autopsy.

Police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
