Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has confirmed media reports that he is owed six months salary.
Appiah claims government failed to pay him in the last six months of his tenure which ended in December last year.
The amount owed Kwesi Appiah as reportedly $210,000 as he was receiving $35,000 per month.
The former Ghana defender failed to secure a contract extension as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolved technical teams of all the national teams early this month.
“Yes it’s true I have not been paid for the past six months,” he told Happy FM.
Appiah was in charge of the Black Stars for two and half years.
According to reports, his successor will be Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
