A late-night fire has razed through two halls of residence in the Accra Academy High School, located at Bubuashie here in Accra.

According to reports, the fire started around 7:00 pm today in the Alema and Halm Addo halls, at a time when students were getting ready to attend their evening preparatory (prep) classes.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown and no casualties have been reported as at the time of filing this report.

Some over 100 students have, however, been displaced and left stranded due to the fire. But school officials say, the affected students will spend the night with their colleagues in the other halls of the school until tomorrow when further actions will be taken.
