The 2020 edition of the Miss Ghana pageant has been successfully launched at the Tang Palace hotel by CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, Miss Inna Patty.

Miss Ghana pageant is an annual beauty event that brings together young women from all regions of the country, to showcase their beauty, intelligence and talent in a bid to win the much-coveted crown.

This year’s edition of the pageant comes with a few new twists in a bid to make it more exciting for patrons.

For the first time ever, 16 girls, rather than 10 will be competing for the coveted crown (this is because, the country has further been divided into 16 regions).

Secondly, ladies in the diaspora have the opportunity to join in the race to win the crown.

According to Inna, this is in response to the many calls and direct messages (DM) they keep receiving in line with this request.

The most important addition, however, is the change in the voting pattern.

Speaking at the launch, Miss Patty explained saying:

” Key on 2019 calendar was the engagement of all stakeholders through the introduction of the Miss Ghana voting app. This year the voting concept continues but with a slight modification. This time, voting will constitute 40% of the qualifying criteria in selecting the 16 contestants and the final winner of the Miss Ghana 2020 competition.”

Miss Patty went on to add that, voting ends at 10 pm on the night of the main event and there will be only one audition, which will be held on February 29th, 2020 at the Tang Palace Hotel, in Accra.
