Alexiboam Company Limited, the contractor executing the 48-kilometre Sunyani-Atronie-Acherensua Road project, has given assurance to deliver quality work, pledging to complete the project within schedule.
Mr Alex Boampong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), gave the assurance when speaking at a community durbar at Atronie in the Sunyani Municipality.
The chiefs and people of the area, who owed allegiance to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, organised the durbar to honour and appreciate Mr Boampong’s exceptional contributions to the development of Atronie, his hometown.
Mr Boampong emphasised that quality work remained a trademark of his construction firm, saying that: “My family and I also use the Sunyani-Atronie Road project, which inspires more to even work beyond to exceed the specification.”
He said he was highly elated by the recognition from the chiefs and people, and pledged to do more and to also bring the development of Atronie to the next level.
Mr. Boampong said that besides the Sunyani-Atronie Road project, being funded by the government, he would also ensure that his company reshapes the bad condition of access roads in the Atronie Township free of charge.
“I spent virtually all my youthful days at Atronie, and I have to also give back as a sign of appreciation to the community,” he stated.
Nana Amponsem Darko II, the Chief of Atronie, emphasised that the people of the area would be forever grateful to Mr Boampong.
He noted that Mr Boampong’s immeasurable contributions to the holistic development of the area remained unmatched.
“We will forever be grateful to you for not only reshaping and improving access roads, but also your care and love for widows and the vulnerable people in our community”, he stated.
Meanwhile, construction work on the Sunyan-Atronie portions of the road project, being constructed under the government’s ‘Big Push’ road infrastructure programme, was progressing steadily.
The project, which commenced in September 2025, is scheduled to be completed in September 2027 and forms part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and connectivity in the Bono Region.
During a visit, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) noticed that asphalting work had begun on portions of the road, with work on drainage systems along the stretch steadily progressing.
