The Avenor Community Bank PLC recorded a 9.79 per cent increase in profit before tax in 2025, rising from GHS2.72 million in 2024 to GHS2.99 million.
The growth was achieved despite rising operational costs, with the bank’s total income also increasing by 19.35 per cent from GHS12.82 million in 2024 to GHS15.29 million in 2025.
Mr Thomas Clarkson Adade, Board Chairman of the Bank, disclosed this in his report presented at the bank’s 43rd Annual General Meeting in Akatsi on Saturday.
He said the bank’s 2025 performance also showed a 31.08 per cent increase in total assets, which rose from GHS45.83 million to GHS60.08 million.
Customer deposits, according to Mr Adade, increased by 38.37 per cent from GHS32.38 million in 2024 to GHS44.80 million in 2025, reflecting increased deposit mobilisation.
He further indicated that total investments increased by 37.91 per cent from GHS20.61 million to GHS28.42 million, while loans and advances grew by 17.93 per cent from GHS16.10 million to GHS18.99 million.
Mr Adade said the performance reflected the bank’s resilience and ability to navigate the changing economic and regulatory environment while continuing to create value for shareholders.
He said the bank’s financial performance improved considerably during the year as the economy transitioned from a period of economic challenges towards recovery.
Mr Adade emphasised that the bank remained focused on strengthening its operations, improving service delivery and positioning itself for sustainable growth.
He noted that the bank’s capital adequacy ratio stood at 23.48 per cent, above the regulatory minimum, while the institution continued to maintain prudent financial management.

“The bank’s operating expenses, however, increased by 21.92 per cent to GH¢12.31 million, largely due to increased staff costs and strategic recruitment to support business expansion,” he said.
Mr Daniel Dagba, Municipal Chief Executive for Akatsi South, commended the Board, Management and staff for the performance and urged the bank to deepen its contribution to the local economy.
