Bekwai Homecoming Group donates GH¢50,000 to Bekwai Government Hospital

The Bekwai Homecoming Group has donated GH¢50,000 to the Bekwai Government Hospital to assist in the acquisition of critical medical equipment as the facility pursues its goal of attaining secondary healthcare status.   

The donation was formally presented to the hospital’s management by the Group’s executives, led by Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu (Joe Wise), former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former Member of Parliament for the Bekwai Constituency.   

The contribution was raised through the collective efforts and generosity of members of the Bekwai Homecoming Group, underscoring the organization’s commitment to initiatives that promote sustainable development and improve the welfare of residents in the municipality.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Dr Kwame K. Agyemang expressed gratitude to the Group for its timely support.    

He noted that the funds would contribute significantly toward enhancing the hospital’s capacity to provide quality healthcare services to patients.   

Dr Agyemang further appealed to individuals, corporate bodies, organizations, and other community groups to support the hospital’s ongoing expansion efforts, emphasizing the need for additional resources to meet the growing healthcare demands of Bekwai and its surrounding communities.   

The donation highlights the Bekwai Homecoming Group’s vision of extending its impact beyond annual reunion activities by championing practical development projects that deliver lasting benefits to the people of Bekwai.    GNA
