The Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has organised a medical outreach and humanitarian relief exercise at Krapa in the Ejisu Municipality, providing healthcare services and essential supplies to hundreds of residents.
The exercise, held at the CCC Agape City Church, formed part of the church’s annual October Commission initiative, which seeks to extend healthcare, humanitarian assistance and spiritual support to underserved communities.
The October Commission brings together various ministries of the church, including its Media, Outreach and Medical teams, to undertake community-based interventions.
The outreach attracted residents from Krapa and surrounding communities, who benefited from medical consultations, health screenings and donations of essential items.
Beneficiaries received groceries, clothing and prescribed medications as part of the humanitarian support provided by the church.
The medical exercise was conducted by the CCC Medical Team in collaboration with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and other health institutions.
The services included screening for breast and cervical cancers, hypertension, elevated blood sugar levels and diabetes.
Participants also received general medical consultations, dental examinations and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments to help identify potential health concerns and encourage preventive healthcare.
Health professionals educated women on breast self-examination and urged them to seek regular medical attention for early detection of breast cancer.
Men aged 40 and above were also encouraged to undergo routine prostate screening and adopt healthy lifestyles to reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
Pastor Joshua Obeng, the Resident Pastor of the CCC Main Campus at Ayigya, speaking to the media, expressed appreciation to residents for their participation and commended the medical personnel and church volunteers for their dedication to the exercise.
He said the initiative reflected the church’s commitment to translating Christian teachings into practical acts of service to humanity.
Pastor Obeng said Christianity required believers to go beyond worship and use their resources, talents and abilities to improve the lives of others.
He said the church was committed to demonstrating the teachings of Christ through compassion, community service and support for vulnerable people.

Pastor Obeng also acknowledged the leadership and members of CCC Agape City Church at Krapa for their support in organising the outreach and strengthening the church’s relationship with the community.
He said the October Commission would continue to provide opportunities for the church to engage communities and address their spiritual and material needs.
