ECOWAS pledges $250,000 to Ghana for flood relief – Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has pledged a donation of US$250,000.00 (approximately GHS 3 million) to support victims of the recent devastating floods in Ghana.

In a press statement issued on Monday, the Ministry said it received official notification from the regional body regarding the decision to provide financial assistance to the country in its time of need.

According to the statement, the Ministry will transfer the entire sum through the appropriate channels as soon as the funds are credited to its accounts, emphasising its commitment to transparency and accountability in handling relief support.

The Government has expressed profound gratitude to ECOWAS for their demonstration of solidarity and African compassion toward the affected communities.
