Former Deputy Minister provides two boreholes to Issa community to ease water challenges

Mr Abu Kasangbata, a former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, has provided two new boreholes for two communities in the Dafiama-Busie-Issa (DBI) District as part of efforts to improve access to safe and reliable source of water.

The boreholes which cost about GH¢70,000.00, will help address water challenges facing the residents of the beneficiary communities, particularly women, who often bear the burden of trekking long distances in search of water.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Issa, the former Deputy Minister said the initiaitve was part of his commitment towards improving the plight of the communities, adding that “access to safe and reliable water is essential to the health, dignity and well-being of our communities.”

Mr Kasangbata expressed hope that the facilities would contribute to improving the living conditions of residents and reducing the difficulties associated with accessing potable water.

He called for collective efforts to address basic development needs in communities, saying, “Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our people.”
