The North Tema Cooperative Credit Union Limited (NTCCU) has launched a USSD code, a mobile application and a redesigned website as part of efforts to enhance digital banking services and improve access to financial services for its members.
The digital platforms were unveiled at the union’s 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held on the theme: “Growing Together Through Innovation and Technology.” theme “Growing Together Through Innovation and Technology.”
The newly introduced USSD shortcode, 899899#, enables members without internet access to check account balances, make deposits and purchase airtime using their mobile phones.
The union also launched the NTCCU Mobile App, now available on the Google Play Store, to enable members to monitor their investments, apply for loans, pay utility bills and access other financial services remotely.
Management announced that an iOS version of the application would be available on the Apple App Store by the end of July.
In addition, the cooperative introduced a redesigned website, www.ntccu.com, to provide information on its products and services and facilitate online membership registration.
The Board said the digital platforms formed part of the union’s strategy to improve service delivery, promote financial inclusion and enhance operational efficiency through technology.
It expressed confidence that the digital initiatives would provide members with faster, more convenient and secure access to the cooperative’s services while supporting its long-term growth objectives.
