VR Minister appeals for special consideration under National Broiler Project

The Ketu North Municipal Assembly has concluded a stakeholder engagement meeting on the proposed 24-hour economy market project for Dzodze, with participants unanimously selecting Kave as the site for the project.

The engagement brought together traditional leaders, Assembly Members, market women, youth groups, opinion leaders and residents of the Dzodze township to deliberate on the most suitable location for the market project.

After extensive consultations and discussions, stakeholders agreed on Kave as the preferred location for the proposed market, which forms part of efforts to boost economic activities and improve trading infrastructure within the Municipality.

Rev Martin Amenaki, Ketu North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), described the process as a demonstration of democracy, inclusiveness and the shared commitment of the people toward the development of the municipality.

“The decision on the location was taken by the chiefs, Assembly Members, market women and all participants through consensus and without interference from anybody,” he said.

Rev Amenaki said the successful engagement marked a major step toward the implementation of the project, adding that activities to officially hand over the site and begin site clearing would commence next week.
