Adwoa Safo endorses brother Israel Kwadwo Safo as leader of Kantanka family and Kristo Asafo Church

Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo (Esq.), has formally declared her support for her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church.

In a statement issued and signed in her capacity as a legal practitioner, Ms Safo announced her commitment to family unity and the preservation of the legacy of their late father, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo.

The statement, titled “Statement by Sarah Adwoa Safo (Esq.),” acknowledged that differences and misunderstandings had characterised the period immediately following the death of the Apostle. Ms Safo stated that she has chosen “the path of conciliation, founded upon love, mutual respect and the enduring undisputed bonds of family.”

“The time has come for us, as a family, to transcend whatever differences, misunderstandings or grievances that may have characterised the immediate aftermath of the demise of our dear dad and consign them to history,” the statement read.

In a direct endorsement of her brother’s authority, Ms Safo stated that she publicly acknowledges and accepts Israel Kwadwo Safo as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church.

“I have immense love and respect for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the Leader,” she stated.

“He has my full support, and I state unequivocally that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy.”

The former MP emphasised that the legacy of the late Apostle is a collective inheritance and a shared responsibility among his children.

She called upon all members of the Kristo Asafo Church, the larger Kantanka family, and associates of the late founder to respect the unity of the family.

“We must therefore rise above our differences, preserve what he built and ensure that his ideals continue to inspire generations to come,” she added.

The statement concluded with an extension of goodwill to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings, expressing hope that the new chapter will bring “healing, unity and renewed strength” to the family and the church.

The late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo was the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the Kantanka Group, a prominent Ghanaian conglomerate known for its technological innovations and automotive manufacturing.

His passing raised questions regarding the succession of leadership within the family’s spiritual and business interests.

The public endorsement by Ms Safo is expected to consolidate support for Israel Kwadwo Safo and bring stability to the leadership of the organisation.
